Katherine Szocik
Katherine Szocik, Ph.D., Asscoiate, earned her PhD in Special Education from George Mason University. She also holds an M.A. in Early Childhood Special Education from The Catholic University of America and a B.A. in Theatre and Latin American Studies from Oberlin College. Dr. Szocik has extensive research, presentation, and publication experience in the field of education with expertise in mixed methods and qualitative research methodologies.
Katherine's years as an early childhood special educator in the Michigan public schools inform her work and she has specific interests in improving access and equity in education, especially for young children with disabilities. She has spent time in Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica, and is fluent in Spanish.
With FERA, Katherine has been responsible for proofconducting background research, facilitating workshops, and performing quality checks on data summaries.
